  
This information circular was prepared under the direction of Stephen G. Conrad, State Geologist (at the time). The information contained in this report is, for the most part, not new infomation, but represents a brief summary of information from many older, out-of-print reports dealing with the gold deposits of the state. In most instances, the information is not referenced in the text, but a complete list of references is included at the end of the report. Most of the information is from the reports by Bryson (1936), Pardee and
