This is the preliminary map for the western half of the Asheville 1:100,000-scale geologic map. The final version of this map is available here, as NC Geological Survey Geologic Map Series (GMS) 13.
This multi-colored geologic map of the western half of the Asheville 1:100,000-scale map includes a description of map units, two smaller maps of metamorphic conditions and major fault and tectonic features, geochronology references and seven small cross sections.
